Virtual Communion Instruction

Communion Sunday In-Home Communion Observance

On communion Sunday, we will lead you in an in-home Communion Observance (Lord’s Supper, Lord’s Table). If you would like to participate in observing the Lord’s Supper from your viewing location you will need two things.

One, set aside some bread (crackers, etc.) on a plate and cut it into bite-size pieces. Two, set aside any fruit juice, fruit drink or any non-alcoholic beverage. Remember, whatever you use for the drink and bread, they are symbols of the Lord’s body and blood. Those symbols represent His sacrifice for us. We will pray over the elements that you use. We observe Communion in remembrance of the Lord’s sacrifice through which we have our wonderful salvation.

The requirement for all participants in the Communion Service is that all participants must be believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. This means all participants must have trusted Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior. They must believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead and that all who believe in Him have eternal life. As we approach Easter Sunday Communion Service this would be a good time for you to pray and ask God’s forgiveness for sins in your life. The confession of sin is essential to come rightly to the Lord’s Table. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10, I Corinthians 11:23-29, 1 John 1:9).

If you have any questions, please contact the church office or your Deacon or Deaconess.
