Letting God Have His Way

Posted January 25, 2026

Scripture:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him.” — Proverbs 3:5–6a

Letting God have His way begins with releasing our need to be in control. It’s choosing obedience over comfort and trust over familiarity. Often, we want God’s blessing without fully yielding to His direction—but surrender is where transformation starts.

There are moments when God asks us to pause, to wait, or to move in a way that doesn’t match our plans. Letting Him have His way means being honest about our resistance and still saying yes. It means trusting that His perspective is greater than ours, even when His timing stretches us.

Yielding doesn’t mean we stop caring or stop hoping. It means we stop forcing outcomes and allow God to shape the process. When we give God permission to lead—fully and without conditions—we create space for peace, growth, and clarity we couldn’t produce on our own.

As we move forward, may we choose openness over urgency and obedience over explanation. Letting God have His way is not weakness; it’s faith in action.

Reflection:

What area of your life might God be asking you to fully surrender today?

Prayer:

Father, I release my plans, my expectations, and my fears. Have Your way in me. Shape my heart, guide my steps, and help me trust You even when I don’t understand. I choose surrender over control. Amen.
