“The Trust Journey”

Today, we begin our 40-day journey of consecration. Consecration is the intentional setting apart for sacred service and purpose. The number 40 generally symbolizes a period of testing, trial or probation. During these 40 days, you should ask God to exam you and lead you in the way of everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me and lead me in the way everlasting!” 

You should ask God to exam you physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our five-fold fast will reveal your level of trusting God. How you and I live our lives practically serve as a trust indicator and barometer. My prayer is that at the end of this 40-day journey, you will not just quote Proverbs 3:5-6 but live it out practically. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” 

Prayer: “Lord, help me to trust with all my heart. Show me areas in my life in which I don’t trust You as I should. In Jesus’ name. Amen".
