Immanuel – God With Us

Isaiah 7:14 (ESV)

Reflect

Have you ever experienced a season when you had trouble locating God in your time of need? Isaiah declares to us and Matthew confirms in the New Testament that God is with us. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23) God is more than just for us in our times of uncertainty and struggle. The God of the Bible is our Sovereign God who has proven to be with us through every season of our lives.

Jesus, the Son of God, is our tangible reminder that God is with us. Jesus is like us – incarnate in human flesh with aspirations, longings, feelings, and hopes as well as grief, sorrow, disappointment, and temptation. The heart of our faith is the knowledge that God is with us. This truth gives us hope: divine certainty for today, tomorrow, and forever. Jesus has never failed us, and God’s promises will be fulfilled in God’s timing. God’s will, God’s way, and God’s word are trustworthy.

Respond
